Most household dehumidifiers use a compressor, which is why they're bulky and noisy. Drydon uses thermoelectric Peltier cooling instead — no motor and no vibration — so it runs at around 36dB and fits on a nightstand or closet shelf.

It's designed for small, enclosed spaces where damp collects: bathrooms, bedrooms, walk-in closets, kitchens, small basements, caravans and RVs. For large open-plan rooms or whole basements, you'd want a compressor unit or more than one Drydon.

That depends on how humid your room is. In an 86°F, 80% humidity environment Drydon collects up to 350ml (12oz) a day, so most people empty it every one to three days. The unit stops and flashes when it's full, so you'll never be caught out.

Drydon lowers the humidity that mould and mildew need to grow, and many customers report musty smells and recurring damp patches improving noticeably. Existing mould still needs cleaning off the surface first — Drydon's job is stopping it coming back.
